UEFA FOOTBALL COACH

Football UEFA B "Basics" Coach by FPF (Federação Portuguesa de Futebol) with a Sports Psychology bachelor degree by ESDRM (Escola Superior de Desporto de Rio Maior).
Work experience in Men adult teams, Women adult teams, Men youth teams, Women youth teams and base football teams in Portugal and China.
Preferred game philosophy based in quick attack (followed by ball possession if the critheria for a good quick attack are not fulfilled), first construction phase starting in short passing everytime the conditions are favourable to it, several lines of support to the ball carrier, mobility and attacking movements searching for the open space between defenders and on their back, high pressure and defined zones of pressure. But without stubborn ideas about it, football is all about the players and the coach must addapt his philosophy to the characteristics of his own players and to the characteristics of the opponents.
The focus of the game is always on the players. So the training philosophy is always based in the game, giving main importance to decision making inside the game philosophy. The player must know how to behave in all moments of the game and that comes the work in the trainings, the decision making in the game comes from the processes worked in the trainings but always part of the player according to the game situation.
